When one year disappears and slips quietly into the next without much fanfare, it's easy to view in the rearview mirror all of the things we meant to do but never did.
While it would be easier to become discouraged and get down on ourselves and make excuses til the cows come home, we prefer to look towards the future - a brand new year in 2023 - and set our sights and dreams on embracing the year that lies ahead.

Man, I need to apologize! It looks like my last podcast was in February?! I know - I can't believe it either! And it was never my intention for this podcast to become less of a priority and be put on the back burner, that’s for sure.
So, I want to reconnect with you guys. I wanna know how you are all doing? Now that we are well into 2022, how are things going?
I have to laugh that when I looked up the podcast before my last one – the last one in January I think - I titled it “Approaching Burnout – Holy Crap – How Is This Only January – Get Up, Girl. Get Up!”
That just goes to show you my mindset in late January/early February and reminds me of the struggles I had those first two months of the year.
So, where have I been and what have I been doing? Stay tuned and I'll start with what happened shortly after my last podcast...

Okay, so this week, we are talking about How to Jumpstart Your Year and 8 steps to Awaken Creativity to Spark Inspiration and Joy.
Because I’m an author, I’m going to talk heavily from a writer’s perspective when I’m talking about ways to awaken creativity and spark inspiration, but you can change these steps to suit your strengths and ambitions in life.
#1 – you’re gonna laugh. But for me, my journey back to sanity – the first piece of the puzzle in putting my life back together started with chocolate cake. The large piece of homemade Texas sheet cake with homemade chocolate buttercream frosting made by my husband who sat a piece down in front of me and said, “Now, how can I help you get out of the slump you’re in?”
Stay tuned to hear how I get myself out of the messiness and onto the right track to awakening my own creativity so that I can get out of my own way and manifest my very best life!
All my love,
~Sadie

I have to warn you – this isn’t going to be your normal happy-go-lucky inspirational podcast. I’ve got some unloading to do, releasing of my own baggage I’ve somehow accidentally carried into the new year, and I need to unload it before I can move on.
And from others I’ve talked to, podcasts I’ve listened to, we are all feeling a little this way right now. So there is comfort in knowing I’m not alone on this journey of trying to make my way back up to the top of just feeling normal again. Feeling sane and whole. Feeling like I’m ready to conquer this year, just as I had planned.
I’m not there yet, but I’m beginning to feel that passion, that fire, kindling just beneath the surface. So you’ll excuse me for a moment longer while I take a moment to step back, regroup, and come back stronger and better than ever before.
I’m taking my own advice and using this season to hibernate myself into a new me. A better me. One that is full of light, and love, and hope again. And I hope you’ll stay with me as I do. Let’s lean on one another to get through these crazy times.
If there’s anything I’ve learned in these 50-some years around this planet is that no matter how dark things seem, no matter how defeated and desperate you sometimes feel, that darkness always ends. One way or another. And the light always, always, returns to show you a new way again, doesn’t it?
Even in the midst of everything going on around me that appears so negative, so hopeless, so BLAH – my soul senses that there is a change – a huge, massive shift coming my way. And I want to prepare myself the best I can for that change when it happens.
A change is coming my friend, and whether we are ready or not, it is almost upon us. And I for one, don’t want to waste another second hiding in the shadows while it passes me by.
So, what do you say? Take my hand, and let’s find our way out of the darkness, together, you and me?
Alright. Let’s do this.
Until next time, I am unconditionally yours.
All my love,
~Sadie

I'm offering some helpful tips on how to say goodbye to the negativity of 2021 and learn to make every day the very best day of your life before we welcome a brand new year full of hope and possibilities!
Start with letting go of what no longer serves you.
Create a morning routine to get you on the right track to face the day.
Create a mantra. Set an intention or twelve.
Learn to love yourself.
Recognize that life is just too damn short and learn to live as if you were dying.
I also empower you with tools to create a happier life and rewrite the story of your life today!
And this will actually be my final podcast of 2021!
I’ll be on vacation and taking a much-needed break from this crazy world for the next few weeks, but I will be back the first week in January with a fresh perspective, a new set of eyes to survey the world with, and a renewed sense of passion and purpose to share with all of you.
I’ll miss you while I’m gone, but feel free to stop by my website, my blog, or any of my social media accounts and say hi. Let me know how your holidays are going!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all!
All my love,
~ Sadie

We're talking real stuff this week. Sometimes people can be assholes. Sometimes life isn't always a bowl of cherries. Sometimes, just sometimes, we set ourselves up for failure because we expected perfection and weren't realistic about our expectations.

Hello all! And welcome to a very special edition of The Daily Escape Podcast.
As you know, I've been interviewing and sharing insights from people who have made an impact in my own life through my "People Who Inspire Us To Be More - To Do More" series.
By interviewing others facing challenges, battling a serious illness, and even those who've come face to face with death and lived to tell about how they made it through - I have found these completely unexpected, life-altering, delicately pivotal moments of change and transformation that happen within as a deeply personal process is revealed through their eyes.
I hope by sharing their stories, their hope, their inspiration, but also their challenges, their fears, and even their bitter, ugly truths - that we might illuminate topics that are often hidden from view or simply not discussed because we are afraid of the answers we might receive.
Today, we have the honor of speaking with someone I want to welcome to The Daily Escape Podcast with arms and eyes wide open, not just because she is my cousin and I love her, but because she is truly one of the most inspirational, strong, remarkably resilient women that I know.
I've asked the tough questions about her journey with ALS and I can't wait to share her answers and her journey with you all as well. And maybe by doing so, we will all have the chance to grow in ways we never, ever expected.
If this podcast speaks to you on a profound level as it did me, let's do our part in helping those with disabilities, specifically with those battling ALS by contacting your local, state, and federal legislators and demanding the changes that need to be made! That's the LEAST they deserve!

So let’s take a step back for a minute – when I started to see my bloodwork results come in, my heart sank because I realized at that moment – I forgot to take care of myself.
I’ve been so busy focusing on everything and everyone else, that I forgot to take care of ME.
So I ask you today – what are you doing to ensure that when everyone else has flown the coop? When you’re left to your own thoughts and hopes and dreams to sort out, are you taking care of YOU?
If not, I’m here to tell you that IT’S TIME! Whether you want it to be or not. It is.
Join me this week as we talk about ways to take care of yourself, show yourself from self-love, and learn to rewrite your history in order to write the story of your life!
